Dallas Event of the Week It’s called the Taste of Dallas, so you can expect a ton of food (and no tongue kissing of NFL tight end Dallas Clark, why would you think that?!). Saturday, July 12th: Cars, Cooking & Blues. Not that you need any more convincing after reading the title, but just to clarify -- that means there will be both classic & new cars, tasty food from local vendors, and sweet blues playing all day in Downtown Garland.
Saturday, July 12th: If you had any kind of childhood in the '80s or '90s, you know yourself some Princess Bride. Now is your chance to once again join Westley, Buttercup, Inigo, Fezzik, and the rest of the bunch in large-screen format with a quote-along. Dress will be “clam bake casual” -- we’re confident you have that laying around in your closet. Besides the obvious clams, there will be oysters served two ways (classic mignonette and white cheddar) and more seafood tastiness, and each dish is served with either beer or wine.
