Beer dinners and test driving a Lamborghini

Dallas Event of the Week
This Friday night at the surefire pickup ground that is the Whole Foods in Highland Park, you can skip the annoying bring-your-groceries-home-and-cook-for-yourself step by hitting up Four Corners' beer-pairing dinner. Chef Ken Howell will be presenting four delicious courses -- including a bacon-filled, bacon-topped burger, and a Mexican chocolate bread pudding -- all of which will be paired with some of Four Corners' finest brews. Space is limited, so grab your tickets quick!

Thursday, May 29th: All things Texas will shine at Victory Tavern during Texas Bourbon & Bites this Thursday. There will be several Texas whiskeys to be sampled, along with Lone Star-inspired eats. Marshall Louis, one of the founders of Herman Marshall Distillery, will be there to speak and answer questions. Again -- you get to eat food and drink whiskey all night. Call 214.432.1900 for reservations.

Friday, May 30th: Come hang out on the Village on the Green rooftop this Friday night in North Dallas and listen to music by The Brehms. Bonus: it’s BYOB, so bring a bottle of wine, or some Texas beers. Pho House Dallas will be there as well, offering to-go boxes of sustenance. Don’t forget your blanket/ lawn chairs/ inflatable couch.

Saturday, May 31st: Irving is home to more than 800 eateries and at Taste of Irving, you'll have just a short six hours to eat ALL OF THEM (well, actually just some of the most notable spots). Take a break from stuffing yourself to take in some live music and buy some handmade wares.

Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st: Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren... ever heard of those? Fantastic! You can increase your familiarity firsthand at Motorsport Ranch -- for about one millionth the price of the actual car, you can take one for a spin around a racetrack.
