Event of the Week Urban Taco is hosting Tacos + Beer. There's really too much going on to list, so just know that it's a tacos- and DEBC beer-paired five-courser featuring tacos (really?) that've been cooked with beer (ah!), and DEBC's unveiling a one-night only brew just for this event. Designed to go with mole, it's infused with everything from a septet of chiles to Mexican Coke. Yeah. Tickets are available right here. You definitely want to get those early. Thursday, September 26th The East Dallas Boys and Girls Club's hosting Foodiepalooza, so head over to Times Ten Cellars for paired eats by John Tesar and Grant Morgan, pastries by the official pastry chef of the Dallas Cowboys (we're guessing she mostly cooks for the o-line), and deep fried Oreos. Don't forget your tix! Friday, September 27th The State Fair's reopening, featuring the new-and-maybe-possibly-improved Big Tex. DO. NOT. SMOKE. ANYWHERE. NEAR. HIM. If you don't wanna fight the crowds at the midway, Taste of the Fair's got all the corn dogs, ice cream, cotton candy, and roasted corn you can handle, conveniently packed into Pegasus Plaza downtown. Saturday, September 28th The Greek Food Festival runs all weekend -- head on over and partake of lamb sliders, a shton of gyro, and plenty of Greek wine & beer. Make sure you finish up all that gyro at a reasonable hour, because Ten Bells Tavern's welcoming a new chef to its midnight kitchen rotation, and he's rolling out pork-cheek banh mi.
