Your Denver 4th of July guide
It's America's birthday, so you're going to find some quiet mountain solitude and meditate on what it means to live in the Land of the Free. Just kidding, you're going to watch stuff explode and eat a bunch of tasty food cooked on trucks, because you know how to do the 4th of July right.
Event of the Week
Congregate at Civic Center Downtown to get in the mood for the 4th of July (it's your civic duty... heyo!) and also to watch *&%$ blow up. This free Independence Eve (that's Thursday, July 3rd for the calendar challenged) party is all about good times for everyone with food trucks, fireworks, and live music. Get all the details here
Friday, July 4th: Live music, fresh cocktails, and a taco-eating contest are all you need to celebrate freedom at Highlands eatery Lola. It doesn’t hurt that smoked chicken wings, pork shoulder, and s'mores on a stick will also be making an appearance to help remind you this is the best holiday ever.
Friday, July 4th: If you're tired of the usual "Star-Spangled Banner" and Uncle Sam costumes, get over to a non-traditional celebration. Dark Junk is complete with a large mob of drummers, exotic dancers, and electro-gasmic lights. Get the info
Friday, July 4th: What's better than going to Red Rocks? Celebrating the 4th with Blues Traveler at Red Rocks. Flock to everyone's favorite outdoor playground to party down with the band that has been ringing in everyone's 4th since 1994.
Friday, July 4th-Sunday, July 6th: One of the events that we told you not to miss this Summer, CCAF turns 24 this year and is ready to party. This free festival welcomes you to groove down to live music, eat delicious food, and pretend like you know something about art.
