Mountain towns know how to party, apparently
Descending on Breck's Riverwalk Center all day Sat, Feb 11th, the inaugural BreckBeats is a music fest that replaces "musicians" with things like "aerialists", "fire twirlers", and "DJs", and supplements 'em all with fashion shows, local art, tons of food and booze, and go-go dancers aplenty. As with 95% of events featuring go-go dancers, it's co-sponsored by the American Heart Association, who wants you to vigorously jog out there and enjoy:
Music: National headliners like RJD2, NastyNasty, and Krewella will tear the roof off amidst an epic light show after openers like locals like FieVeL, LOLO, DJ Entropy, and Candy Cobra, aka the Cobra Command soldier who kills GI Joes by force-feeding them diabetes-inducing Twizzlers.
Fashion: On the off chance that watching those guys peck at MacBooks isn't visual stimulation enough, crane your neck to peep ladies walking the runway while carrying art created by Breck residents, with the artists' names painted on their backs, which, for reference, are located just above their butts.
Food/ Drink: A beer garden in the back will be anchored by a multi-spout truck (one free brew with general admission!), and'll serve all kinds of 'za and smoked meats. But cop a VIP ticket, and you'll be allowed all-you-can-eat Harvest Catering, as well as access to a bar stocking gratis Breckenridge Distillery vodka and bourbon, so finally you can actually get shots through the heart.
