Chase your beer with some barrel-aged mead

Detroit Event of the Week
As the weather finally warms up… or at least pretends to, it brings with it the promise of beer festivals. There’s a whole slew of them coming up around the state, and this Friday, Royal Oak Farmers Market is hosting its 2nd Annual Craft Beer Expo. Featured breweries include Dragonmead, Griffin Claw, Kuhnhenn, and dozens more. Food trucks will also be in attendance to provide solid sustenance.

Saturday, May 10th: B. Nektar’s kicking off the Spring season with their 2nd Annual Spring Mead Fest. They’ll have plenty of the sweet stuff to go around, including a limited release of a cherry chocolate chipotle mead aged in barrels of New Holland’s Dragon’s Milk named #dragonsarereal. There will also be beer, cider, and free admission. Continue Reading
