(Two-Day) Event of the Week:
Fall beer shenanigans continue in the D this week with the Michigan Brewers Guild Fall Beer Festival on Friday and Saturday. This is a big one, folks. Head to Eastern Market and kick back with more than FOUR HUNDRED craft beers from 50+ Michigan breweries. Pumpkin ales, cherry stouts, and vanilla porters, oh my!
Thursday, October 24th
Win major points with your girlfriend and head to The Magic Bag for their Brew n' View showing of The Spectacular Now. Hey, it was at the Sundance Film Festival, and all movies are great with booze (except Gigli).
Friday, October 25th
Redford Theatre is screening Psycho and they're making it mandatory that you see the whole thing. No walking in late or "peeing" allowed. Tickets are right over here.
A little history, a little horror, a little murder. Get in the Halloween spirit with the Notorious 313 True Crime/Ghost Tour, where you can pay someone to creep you the F out for three hours as they lead you around downtown to famous haunted/murder sites. Disturbing? Yes. But also, quite informative!
Saturday, October 26th
Batch Brewing Company, Anthology Coffee, and Corktown Cinema are throwing a Halloween party in Corktown, which has been deemed the Gathering of Ghouls. Check it out for good booze, joe, and pizza from Supino.
Party hard, loud, and costumed inside a 10,000sqft warehouse for Hellbent IV -- a “Deviants and Devils” Halloween party at the Russell Industrial Center. Sideshow performances, “deranged rock and roll puppetry", and electro-rock will all be involved.
Sunday, October 27th
Work off some of the booze and shame at the Wicked Halloween Run in Plymouth. Sign up for the 5K, 10K, or the Monster Mile. As you might expect, costumes are encouraged.
