EightBit.me

Launching today outta SF, EightBit is essentially an NES-ified foursquare -- it has users create 8-bit versions of themselves using a "closet" of pixelated awesomeness (e.g. flannel shirts, hoodies, facial hair, glasses, etc.) -- then lets you and your vintagely graphic'd dude earn virtual Mario Bros-esque coinage for checking in at SF destinations, plus special un-lockable gear like a cowboy hat for hitting SXSW, or beer goggles for checking in at the same bar multiple times, as feverishly texting your ex at 3a was hard to portray in 8-bit form.
