Thursday, June 19th: Food shopping can be a bit of a chore. You know what makes it better? Beer. Sip while you shop at Central Market’s Beer Fest Stroll Around. From 5-9pm, beer experts will be offering samples at eight different stations throughout the store. Pay $10 to get the samples, a pint glass, koozie, bottle opener, and more.
Saturday, June 21st: Whether you’ve been on the hunt for a hipster-fresh tie bar or a way to spruce up your living room walls, head to Discovery Green’s Flea by Night to, well, shop at a flea market at night. The open-air market is open from 6-10pm. Head there to eat, drink, and haggle the night away.
Saturday, June 21st: Geek out while you party with the dinosaurs (or at least drunk dance next to some skeletons) at the Museum of Natural History’s monthly Mixers & Elixirs event. The Summer Solstice Party will feature live music from Royal Dukes Band and food offerings from the H-Town StrEATs, Bernie’s Burger Bus, and Nom Mi Street food trucks. Tickets are 20 bones, but make sure to bring plenty of extra paper for the cash bar. Doors open at 7pm.
Tuesday, June 24th: Stuff your face this Tuesday at 7pm at Canyon Creek’s 4th Anniversary Beer Dinner, where five Saint Arnold brews will be paired with five excellent courses (think skillet filet mignon with Texas cheese grits and a Bananas Foster root beer float). Get tickets for $70 here.
