It’s hot outside, people are enjoying adult beverages in the streets, guys look creepy, and girls are dressed in almost nothing. Yes, we just described every single Friday night in Miami history, but THIS Friday is special because it’s Halloween (probably a 23rd thing we do better than any other city), and you've got these eight sweet parties to go to...

SUSHI SAMBA

Friday, October 31st: The freak show that is Halloween night on Lincoln Rd is great and all, but if getting pushed around by sweaty dudes in Ninja Turtle costumes is a bit too much for you, hit up Cosplay Party at SUSHISAMBA, where you can get a front row seat for all the action. They’ll also have taiko drummers, dancers, and staff dressed as geishas. Guests are encouraged to dress up like their favorite characters from Japanese video games and anime.

SLS

Friday, October 31st: If your idea of a Halloween costume involves bunny ears, you should probably rethink it 'cause there will be ACTUAL Playboy Bunnies (Shawn Dillon and Shelby Chesnes) at the Playboy Masquerade at SLS, as well as sounds from DJ Mister Gray and plenty of, as the hotel calls them, “sexy surprises”. Get tickets and more info here

NIGHTMARE ON THE BEACH

Friday, October 31st: For the most Miami Halloween experience you can have without going to Doral, spend the night on the sand drinking from an open bar at the fifth annual Nightmare on the Beach. In addition to said open bar, PatrĂłn will launch its new Incendio tequila and there’ll be food from some of Miami’s top restaurants. Plus there'll be life-sized Space Invaders game. Get tickers here

SOUTH BEACH LADY

Friday, October 31st: Sure bay cruises are usually the domain of tourists and... well, tourists, but you can make an exception on Halloween. Jump aboard this 125ft yacht as it sails from Bayfront Park and takes you on a Halloween yacht party, complete with a full buffet and, you guessed it, live DJs. Costumes aren’t optional, so hit up the thrift store, then get your tickets here.

FIU

Friday October 31st: If you’ve never been to a haunted house in a basketball arena, then Boo! at FIU is your chance to cross THAT one off your bucket list. The Panther Suites at the FIU Arena are getting transformed into two haunted houses -- one for kids, and one for grown ups. The festival will also have rock climbing, mechanical bull rides, a dunk tank, and live performances by the FIU marching band.

AUTOMATIC SLIMS

Friday, October 31st & Saturday, November 1st: If staying in one spot for Halloween just doesn’t give you enough exposure to creative costuming, hit up the Crawl-O-Ween bar crawl on Friday and Saturday. It starts at Burger & Beer Joint in Brickell then moves on to Fado, Le Chat Noir, Sandbar, Lost Weekend, Automatic Slim's, and The Filling Station. Get tickets here

ELLEVEN

Friday, October 31st & Saturday, November 1st: Helleven is probably the only night of the year when it’ll be pretty hard to tell the regular “dancers” from the strangely large number of female patrons at E11even, which is a very, very good thing. As is Lil Jon doing what he does best -- strip club music -- during a live performance Friday. Oh, and Borgeous plays Saturday.

NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET

Sunday, November 2nd: Since Christmas shopping now stretches into August, there’s no reason horror shouldn’t extend into November. At least for the first few days. So cap off your Halloween weekend with one of the scariest movies of all time -- A Nightmare on Elm Street -- followed by one of the most bizarre sequels ever -- Wes Craven's New Nightmare -- where Freddy comes back to haunt the people involved with producing the original film. We don’t get it either, but it's all going down at O Cinema.
