Certain things are worth planning ahead for, like vacations, weddings, and dinner parties that Ed Begley Jr. hasn’t RSVP'd to just yet, but almost certainly will, or you'll just have to cancel said dinner party. keep looking, it’s totally there, the Michael Symon-hosted shindig brings together the 305's best grillers to craft rib-sticking BBQ deliciousness (including actual ribs, which’re also pretty sticky themselves) and give cooking demos while everyone enjoys abundant booze and tunes by trailblazing/following blues rockers Diablo Dimes & The Blood Hounds.
This year's line-up's pulling in meat-masters like 1500°'s Paula DaSilva, SUSHISAMBA's Michael Bloise, and Bulldog BBQ's Top Chefer Howie Kleinberg, as well as Tom Azar from City Hall, Sugarcane's Timon Balloo, and gastroPod's own Jeremiah Bullfrog, whose food will make him a very good friend of yours.
Those culinary champions’ll be slingin' a 24hr marinated garlic/brown sugar/coriander-smoked lamb belly, sauteed onion-smothered chopped chicken with pulled pork sliders, and BBQ Wagyu short rib gyoza with a spicy watermelon salad, purple jalapenos, and corn puree that's smoked Peruvian-style, an action that usually thwarts even the most comprehensive planning-ahead. (Note: Ed Begley Jr. wants to go on record as saying “don’t to drugs”.)
