Get there before the chicken starts sizzling and the Yazoo beer starts flowing to catch the Fire Truck Parade rolling down Woodland St, led by festival founder & former Mayor Bill Purcell. Friday, July 4th: Music City’s July 4th celebration at Riverfront Park is the largest fireworks display in the South, and it’s totally free -- there’ll be live performances on the Jack Daniel's Main Stage by Billy Currington, Ashley Monroe, Striking Matches, and a ton of colorful explosions. Friday, July 4th: I Run For The Party’s Music City 4th of July 5K/10K race takes place through Downtown, and’s a great way to earn all the hot dogs you’re going to eat later (and also support charity and stuff).
