If you thought that the batch of Game of Thrones season-six photos HBO released this past Thursday revealed little, wait until you see the new teaser that debuted tonight.
The ethereal clip gives us a tour of the Hall of Faces, a candlelit room found within the House of Black and White where Arya's pals the Faceless Men keep the faces they use as their various camouflages. What's interesting -- and what might make you pretend to rip your own face off in mock frustration with how withholding and metaphorical this clip is -- is which faces are lining the walls of the crypt-like hall.
The camera pans across the disembodied heads to reveal victims from seasons past: Ned Stark, Robb Stark, Catelyn Stark, and Joffrey Baratheon. But then it lands on Jon Snow, which would seem to confirm that he really did die in the season-five finale, right? Maybe not: the last shot lands on the faces of the still very much alive Tyrion, Sansa, and Daenerys. What gives?
They don't call these teasers for nothing, folks. Season six of Game of Thrones debuts April 24.
