Stone Brewing Company is having a Pour It Black dark beer festival on Sunday from 10am-2pm at their Escondido location. Tickets get you a commemorative glass and fifteen (!) 3oz tasters of over a hundred dark beers from all over the world, from stouts to porters, to black IPAs and more.
Thursday, October 16th: If you’ve ever wondered about the science behind what you’re drinking, then get to the R. H. Fleet Science Center on Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm for The Science of Spirits: Craft Cocktails event. There will be beverage tastings from Twisted Manzanita Spirits, Old Harbor Distilling, and Ballast Point, along with food from several local restaurants. Saturday, October 18th: The historic Hotel del Coronado is hosting the Sea+Food Festival on their beachfront Windsor Lawn from 2-5pm. Chefs will be preparing all kinds of seafood from smoked oysters to sashimi, along with craft beers, wine, and spirit tastings.
Wednesday, October 22nd: Twenty/20 is hosting a five-course Pigs & Pinot wine pairing dinner starting at 5:30pm. You’ll have an ocean view on the terrace while enjoying dishes like pork & duck rillettes, 48-hour braised pork cheek, and more -- all paired with five different Pinot Noirs. All Weekend: Racers participating in the 100 Mile Paddle will be paddleboarding from Redondo Beach to San Diego on October 17th and 18th from 6:30am-8pm. Come out to cheer them on as they race to raise money for autism charities and clean water initiatives.
