San Diego Event of the Week Culture Brewing Co is turning one year old and they’re celebrating with three different sessions throughout the weekend. The preview on Friday from 5-8pm features four barrel-aged releases, grapefruit-infused Keyhole IPA, 10 3oz tasters, food from Red Oven Pizza and So Rich Chocolates, plus a raffle. Saturday’s festivities will be held in two sessions from 12-3pm and 3-6pm and include unlimited 3oz tasters from more than 20 beers on tap & specialty casks, and food from Red Oven Pizza & Pub Cakes (yes, cupcakes made with beer). Thursday, February 20th: Tonight at 6pm, the San Diego Museum of Art is hosting Culture & Cocktails featuring the sights, sounds, colors, and culture of South Asia. Oh, and cocktails! So in addition to the Edwin Binney 3rd Collection of Indian miniature paintings and a Bollywood performance, you'll also be enjoying Mumbai Mule Cocktails, henna body art, and a slow motion photo booth.
Saturday, February 22nd: The San Diego Winter Brew Fest gets started at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park at 6pm with an hour-long VIP session featuring special beer and cheese pairings until 7pm, when the event opens up for general admission until 10pm.
Saturday, February 22nd: Celebrate the end of the Carnevale season and the 7th Annual Carnevale di Lost Abbey Masquerade Ball from 7-11pm. Come dressed in a mask and costume for free entry, entertainment, and food from Lez Eat.
Sunday, February 23rd: Enjoy live music from local musician Katie Leigh along with a five-course beer-pairing dinner from Chef Nick Brune of Eco Caters and Local Habit at the Storytellers Dinner. It all starts at 4pm on the rooftop of Pizza Port in OB with courses including organic dishes like Ahi tartare with mushroom torte, duck galantine with foraged salad, and more -- followed by an ice cream bar trio for dessert. Monday, February 24th: Green Flash is teaming up with Waypoint Public for their first Supper Club of 2014 held at the Green Flash tasting room at 6:30pm. Chef Amanda Baumgarten from Waypoint and Dave Adams from Green Flash have created a five-course dinner with beer pairings alongside dishes like albacore crudo and blood sausage crostini.
