Your triple-decker Krispy Kreme burger is waiting
Event of the Week
The San Diego County Fair opens Saturday, June 7th. This year’s "Fab Fair" theme celebrates the 50th Anniversary of The Beatles’ first visit to the United States. There will be tons of new artery-clogging food to indulge in, including a triple-decker Krispy Kreme cheeseburger, smoked Jack Daniel's bacon-wrapped churros, chocolate/peanut butter bacon bananas, and more.
Ongoing: Imbibe Magazine has declared June 2nd-8th Negroni Week. Bars worldwide, including SD’s Polite Provisions, Jsix, Sycamore Den, Duck Dive, Cat Eye Club, CUCINA Urbana, IRIS Food and Spirits, Puesto, and Craft & Commerce, will be participating by offering their own versions of the classic cocktail and donating at least $1 from every Negroni sold to the charity of their choice.
All Weekend: The Camp Pendleton World Famous Mud Run will be happening the 7th and 8th. The 5K has nine obstacles and the 10K has 15 obstacles to get through, with the course winding around Lake O’Neil. Whether you’ve come to compete or just to cheer the runners on, stay for the Filthy Fun Fest after-party featuring live music, food, beer, carnival rides, and vendors.
Thursday, June 5th: Morton’s Steakhouse is hosting a Modern Times Beer Dinner from 6-9pm with four courses like an Ahi tuna tower, double-cut Cajun pork chops, and filet mignon -- all paired with Modern Times beers.
Saturday, June 7th: This Saturday, make the trek to San Marcos to show your appreciation for the local fire department's efforts in containing the recent Cocos fire. At the Hops and Heat beer festival at Churchill's Pub and Grille, you'll feel good about yourself while indulging in fiery-hot eats (to honor the firefighters) and over 30 of the best IPAs in the world (to honor your mouth).
