If you've ever been thrown off a super-tall building before, you're most likely dead, or, worse, Anthony Cooper's son. For a new operation that'll throw you off a building but ensure you live to tell the rest of the island, Locke down a spot at Rappel A Hotel. Part of a charity fundraiser for
the Human Fund the Special Olympics, this adrenaline-pumping bro-venture goes down Friday and Saturday at the Grand Hyatt in Union Square when they'll hurl you off the 425ft-high hotel rooftop and down 36 floors, Cliffhanger-style, which could easily get a little Rocky until you (Cop) land. Get Carter!!!! The up-to-15min descent'll be preceded by a training sesh on a one-story platform erected on the Hyatt's roof, where you'll be outfitted with a helmet, gloves, radio, and full-body industrial harness, which you'll strap on before you set up on the edge of the roof and jump, or if you're Luigi in Super Mario Bros. 2, double jump. There're only 100 harnesses to go around, and you'll only score one if a) you weigh between 110-300lbs (peace, Val Kilmer), and b) you get in on the aforementioned fundraising -- you need to pull together $1000 from donors (or steal the money from Val Kilmer) by July 21st for a shot. And just in case you have more than one rich uncle named Val Kilmer, they've got extras in store for big-time fundraisers, including access to the post-rappel party if you reach $1500, or if you top $2500 you'll score a one-night stay at the hotel in a room so big you'll probably get Lost. Though hopefully not Season 3.
