Saturday, June 15 Downtown Phoenix Lowriders, hot rods, classic muscle cars, and even motorcycles will be on display at the fifth annual Arizona Indoor Custom Car Show. In fact, more than 500 unique and modified rides will be parked inside at the Phoenix Convention Center for the annual event. In addition to the cars, there will be live music from The New Groove, La Luz De La Luna, and Nico Maleon as well as on-site displays like pinstripe and airbrush demos. Cost: $20.
Saturday, June 15 Downtown Phoenix Break a sweat this weekend, intentionally, with Earn Your Booze and Kenyatta Banks. Throughout the summer at Lustre, at Hotel Palomar’s poolside rooftop bar, you can literally earn your booze with a free workout led by a local instructor. Saturday, June 15 Downtown Phoenix The Irish Cultural Center and the McClelland Library is hosting its 13th annual Bloomin’ Beerfest in Downtown Phoenix. From 7pm to 11pm, the one-day fest will have craft beer tastings, live music, a costume contest, and readings from Irish novelist James Joyce’s previously banned book Ulysses. Gates to the festival open at 6:30pm. Cost: $30 - $40.
Friday , June 14 - Sunday, June 16 Scottsdale Calling all fans of art and architecture. For two days this weekend, Taliesin West -- Frank Llyod Wright’s winter home and desert laboratory in Scottsdale -- will host a pop culture-themed, pop-up art exhibition. Works from international artists will be on view, including art from Phoenix-based Alison King. A number of limited-edition, hand-numbered prints will be available for purchase. The next exhibition of the show will be held in New York at Spoke Art’s sister gallery Hashimoto Contemporary. Cost: Free.
Sunday, June 16 Scottsdale The Belgian hardstyle DJ, Coone, is playing a set at Maya Day + Nightclub. The show is part of the Soundwave pool party series, happening though summer. Doors open at noon, which gives you more than enough time to hit up a bottomless party brunch with your squad if you don’t sleep through your alarm.
