New burgers vie for Virginian supremacy

Sometimes picking a name that resembles those of your industry's best can lead you to the top, like those guys that named themselves "Eve 6", and then went on to become the biggest 'bags ever. For clean burgers from a new spot that sounds like an old one, check out brgr:shack.

Having absolutely nothing to do with an already-established burger operation chain or nationally lauded shake/burger chain (seriously!), brgr:shack is prepping mouth-watering shakes 'n patties from a minimalist mess hall fronted by a garage door that, when opened initiates a temp regulating/bug-warding "air curtain", which is also what should be pulled on anyone trying to place a similarly constituted guitar. Grass-fed signature burgers include "Blue Fever" with caramelized onions/ red wine-sauteed mushrooms/ blue cheese, the "Fire Me Up" with guacamole/ jalapeno/ pepper jack/ chipotle sauce, and the "Yum" with avocado, brie, and "shack wasabi", which unlike Shaq wasabi, won't reward any attempt at dunking with an embarrassing rejection. Face-stuffing complements include fresh-cut potato fries (or sweet potato wedges) that're washed/ chopped/ blanched in the morning before being fried to order (with optional herb and cheese additions), classic shakes (currently vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry), and cupcakes like Red Velvet, or "Chocolate Chocolate" -- also Val Kilmer's answer to questions like "What sorts of projects are you into these days?", and "Sir, do you know where you are right now?".

Because burgers demand beer, the shack's also got 5 bottles and 4 drafts, one of which will change seasonally, as you'd feel really stupid drinking a winter lager on a steamy Summer's Eve, and they need to keep things fresh.
