French and Moroccan touches in a Southern-style comfort menu


Known for one of the best patios in town, Zed's has just brought in a heavy-hitting chef from North Carolina, who's subtly integrating French and Moroccan touches into the Southern-style comfort menu. So, instead of shrimp, it's salmon and grits, while Mary's pet gets treated with savory onion, ginger and garlic mirepoix, and couscous in the Lamb Shank Redemption, because sometimes you've got to decide, am I a sheep, or a Freeman?
