Modern Thai, for the win

Does Sway live up to the hype? Only the Thai will tell. The latest from the La Condesa team, this Australian-influenced modern Pacific Rim joint (wha??) is set up in an old South 1st St tobacco shop that's been refitted by the architect behind Uchi with his now-signature wood and steel treatment. The menu's Aussie-ness is evident in their non-Eddy curries (the "Jungle" is loaded with Texas wagyu beef, red chili, baby corn, eggplant, peppercorns, and coconut cream), a taste for salt-and-peppered seafood (blue prawn, oyster, lobster, cuttle fish), and mastery of char-grilled proteins like Cornish hen and hangar steak.Click through to see a photo tour of the grounds (complete with spirit houses!), take a walk-through of the crustacean-laden open kitchen, and drool over some of the most Flava-ful dishes of the year.
