A square gets cooler

The people of Union Square are incredibly patient, whether it's waiting for this Green Line extension that never seems to arrive, or spending laborious hours crafting "In Man" one-liners about their competition down the road. Finally ending the wait for raw fish: Ebi Sushi. An inaugural livin'-the-dream venture from a longtime sushi chef of Blue Fin/Masa-pedigree, Ebi rolls your favorites whilst also plating a medley of meaty Japanese (and even some Korean). The spacious former Wu Chon House is now decked with a nine-seat sushi bar and a handful of Bob Ross-styled landscapes, perfect for priming the palette. Choice rolls include a sweet egg omelet w/ eel; soft-shell crab w/ cucumber; spicy salmon skin; and an egg, pickle, squash, and crab FutoMaki, aka "thick, large, or fat rolls" guaranteed to dramatically increase FupaMaki. Gill-free deliciousness includes ginger-battered crispy fried chicken with cold tofu, pan-fried sliced pork with onion, and shumai dumplings served alongside fermented soy beans topped with squid chunks.Should you just be trying to holler at a nosh, they've also got small bites like sliced citrus soy beef, deep-fried oysters, and even octopus pancakes, which though far more tasteful, should prove as flat as those In Man jokes.
