Spiceman's is borrowing a classic cemetery marketing move with Adopt-A-Plot, wherein a $1000 outlay ensures Tom Spicer will "personally see to it that you are satisfied with your investment that reciprocates a 17% return". Basically this means that maniacal foodies and industry folks will receive a $45 discount every other week on spices, herbs, exotic mushrooms, etc, plus they'll be informed about what's sprouting ahead of time, receive "recognition" in the garden, and get to "hang out on the deck and enjoy the view".
