Veracruzana-style in the OC

The Veracruz expats behind La Palapa Veracruzana have launched this cozily sustainable (velour booths paired against reclaimed wood panels) spot where you and hopefully someone else can tilt back Mesa Horchadas (rum, anejo, coconut, vanilla) while taking down coastal eats like striped bass or shrimp ceviche, Rabo de Res al Acuyo (braised oxtail in hoja santa sauce w/ masa dumplings & yucca), and Chilpachole de Jaiba y Camaron: a broth of masa dumplings, blue crab, and something Jack Johnson was never described as, Galveston shrimp.
