Get low-key in LoDo
Because the Rockies ensure that Blake St sees more than enough people striking out, why not skip the LoDo clubs and go somewhere chilled-out enough for girls to hear your hilarious baseball puns, like Sauced?
A self-described "watering hole", Sauced is set to give the club-heavy 'hood a much-needed injection of beer, pizza (specifically, "East Coast-style flat bread" with aged focaccia crust), and atmosphere relaxant, exemplified by their interior decorator's thoughtful choice of ancient Schlitz, PBR, and Strongbow signs. The full bar eschews fancy cocktails -- even guava-tinis? ugh, fine -- for six beers on tap, including Avery White Rascal and IPA, Cali's Firestone Walker Double Barrel Ale, and McSorley's, plus bottles of what's on the signs, as well as Ska Brewing's Modus Hoperandi. The aforementioned 10'' pies run from a Hawaiian with mozzarella/ pineapple/ ham, to a sliced bacon/ ground beef/ mozz/ cheddar joint, to the beef/ sausage/ pepperoni/ peppers/ onion/ mushroom Lo-Dough -- joke that you also have "low dough" when the bill arrives, and you'll make a new lifelong friend. Waiters love that stuff!
And for fancy pie eaters that hold their slices with their pinky in the air, the chef will be experimenting with a "pizza of the day", hoping to "go a little more gourmet" with toppings like pork belly, about which you have a hilarious pun that everyone would love, if only they could hear you over all the LMFAO.
