From the same dude behind beloved, bygone New York resto First and also-beloved, totally-still-here Palazzo resto... First, Rattlecan's a burger-and-a-beer-and-a-shot Venetian bar with a uniquely NYC edge to it, thanks to a barrage of street art quite literally from the windows, to the walls. Plus: there's a mechanical pickle you can ride. Anyhoo, the menu is extra burger-y, from the signature Rattlecan (a classic bacon cheeseburger with caramelized onions), to the slightly more complicated Hot Mess, which comes with, no joke: mashed potatoes, chili, chicken styx, cheeseburger (?), melted onions, bacon, grilled corn, pickled jalapenos, ranch drizzle, cheddar, a Polish dog, a fried egg, roast chili peppers, onion rings, sizzlin’ hot sauce, diced tomato, red onion, and, for $1.50 extra, "Bad Attitude". Speaking of hot messes, grab a drink at the recycled skateboard decks-decked bar where they're pushing a dozen American micros on tap and taking their picklebacks (Jameson shot + dill juice chaser) to the next level by including a token to ride on that mechanical pickle.
