Although everybody knows beer and pasties are the perfect match, not everyone can afford to eat like the Prime Minister, so popup food-sters The Dead Dolls Club will instead be matching suds with BBQ when they move into the London Fields Brewery, re-decking it with a full bar, leftover barrels, and vintage bottles "dug up from the Isle Of Wight" that were probably once used for Cowes milk. Things kick off w/ a three-day bank holiday weekend party, and'll continue all Summer with:
'Cueing: On a monstrous self-built "BBQ machine" Frankensteined from an old '50s cast-iron scorcher that can grill, smoke & cure simultaneously, they're throwing suckling pig (fed on leftover brewery hops), huge bottom beef ribs, "giant" prawn kebabs, and game sausages, the game obviously being "doctor".
Stunningly, Beer: They've rustled up a special one-off batch of dry hopped wheat ale labeled Half Nelson exclusively for this weekend, and will also tap their half-dozen regulars, and seasonals like their fresh-in-the-keg single hop IPA Galaxy, whose "biting bitterness" is probably something to do with Beckham apparently falling into a black hole somewhere.
Other Stuff Too!: Craft stalls plucked from nearby markets. Live bands. Local spinner TBX playing to the wee hours. There're no tickets or booking, and events will take place over virtually every weekend in the Summer, so hopefully you don't show up looking too pasty.
