Food & Drink

The classiest street food in Christendom

The post will probably be late this Christmas, partly because of all the cards, and partly because the Islington sorting office is being used as a vast, indoor banqueting hall for the festive return of Feast, whose early December shindig will see log fires, live bands, DJs, and, yes, 30+ food stalls.

Among those stalls? Expect newcomer eats like Randall & Aubin's bunned oysters & pulled pork, Mishkins' salt beef muffins w/ half sour salsa, York & Albany’s salted pretzel peppered squid, and an Anna Mae's BBQ-topped mac 'n cheese dish called "Piggy Smalls" that'll make your trouser buttons the big poppas.

They're also vending drinks, with craft brew stalls, and "experimental" cocktails from Background Bars. Bompass & Parr will provide culinary scientific whimsey through their under-wraps "live experiment", which they promise will be a "total sensory assault". More old-fashioned entertainment will see live acts like The John Langan Band, Whiskey Moon Face, and Woodburner Collective, who'll just love it when you heckle "boy, tend to those log fires".
