Legendary chef opens up in Knighstbridge

Just opened in Knightsbridge by a quartet of decade-long buddies (a Nobu ops director, a Michelin-starred chef, a wine expert, and a florist), Chabrot's a traditionally styled two-story brasserie armed with thick, tea towel-style tablecloths, brass light fittings, and b/w photos of the Gallic countryside. The slightly more adventurous menu's got Southern French fare like savoy cabbage stuffed w/ veal, chestnut foie gras & cep 'shrooms, a whole leg of milk-fed lamb w/ white beans & piquillo peppers, and grilled spicy black pudding w/ cooked apple, which it will be once Tim takes over the rest of Steve's Jobs.
