Frittata w/ 'Shrooms, Manchego & Toasted Breadcrumbs

If there's one day your mom totally deserves your love and support, it's Flag Day, but if there's another, it's Mother's Day. And there's no better way to show your love and support than with money your time and effort in the kitchen, so grab a spatula, pop open your laptop, and follow these five simple illustrated steps to an epic frittata, courtesy of A.O.C.'s superstar kitchen-minder:

Step 1: Beat Off First, beat some eggs and cheese together w/ salt and pepper. Or, get Ike to drop by, and beat some eggs and cheese together w/ salt and pepper.

Step 2: Get Baked Now, put some bread crumbs in the oven. While you're waiting for them to bake, pretend like your oven mitt is a puppet and put together an elaborate, one-puppet production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Nice work.

Step 3: Start 'Shrooming Okay, take some butter and melt it until it starts bubbling, then mix it with olive oil, plus your herbs and veggies, and toss in your wild mushrooms, which include chanterelles, hedgehogs, and enough black trumpets to get you Dizzy.

Step 4: More 'Shrooming! Take out half the mushrooms and pour in the eggs, stirring ever so slightly to mix in the remaining 'shrooms; then, sprinkle the breadcrumbs on top and put the pan in the oven for 12mins.

Step 5: Flip It Off x2 Finally, let the whole shebang sit for 5mins, then flip it first onto a plate to get it out of the pan, the again onto another plate to get it right side up. Then clean up the kitchen and return to looking for Flag Day gifts for Mom.
