Summit brews up a batch of oyster beer

Your iCal alert should've reminded you already, but this weekend marks the start of oyster season, and Meritage is celebrating the calorie-neutral bivalves by serving all five species during festivities that include a shucking showdown, classes, and booze-pairing stations. There'll also be non-pearly eats from lobster rolls to crepes, and, most importantly, the debut of a new Summit brew crafted specifically for the event: Oyster Stout, made from Meritage's own shells.
