Frustrated that Uptown's previous answer to the question of what to eat late-night was limited to "a cheeseburger at the 24-hour McDonald's" or "a many, many cheeseburgers at the 24-hour McDonald's", Mesa Pizza's just gone ahead and thrown every post-drinking-food style ever onto its pies. The 50-odd odd pizzas are slung out of a second location that achieves the critical design imperatives of being both roomier and not on a college campus, and they're highlighted by:
Southern Gentleman: This monster rocks cajun chicken, mashed potatoes, bacon, and cheddar, and, true to its name, will hold the door for you, as your bloated stomach will open it before your hand can get there.
Guacamole Burrito: Oh they done did it! Yup: black beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream, and cheddar.
Macaroni and Cheese: Weirdly, this one's actually a chicken parm. Sike! It's mac and cheese on a pizza.
Gyro: This guy's topped with onions, tomatoes, cucumber sauce, and "gyro meat", which's also what Dice-K serves up to opposing hitters these days.
Charles Broccoli: With grilled chicken, cheddar, alfredo sauce, and, you guessed it, broccoli, you'd have to be remarkably, annoyingly, almost painfully dumb (also bald) to not eat this.
Of course, for the less adventurous set, they've also got solid slices of cheese, pepperoni, and sausage, which, judging by the party of dispirited guys eating at that McDonald's late-night, isn't only on their breakfast menu.
