This new site makes finding a food truck way easy

From a Center City West-working dude who (fun alert!) develops corporate software, ChowSpotter's a new, food-truck-finding web app that uses F-book posts, tweets, and truck schedules to plot out every in-service restaurant-on-wheels in Philly on a real-time map. Now you're probably already thinking, "Jesus, developing corporate software really DOES sound fun", and also, "I wonder when something like this might be useful?" Well...Situation: Adele cuts in front of you in line at Taco Bell, orders the last 47 tacos/sets fire to the rain.Use the app!: ChowSpotter'll geo-locate you, then populate a map with all of the nearby trucks that're open. Then click any of the pins and they'll tell you exactly what they serve, which might also be tacos!Situation: It's 3a, and you're totally jonesing for some food because you and your bros just smoked an entire pound of... um... salmon. Yeah, salmon.Use the app!: Stare at your fingers for 15mins (... there's so much salmon juice on them!), then hit the site's "Now Serving" section and it'll give you a list of all trucks in the city that're still open, even if they're not super-close, plus tell you how late they'll be serving.Situation: It's lunchtime, you're driving around trying to find a place to eat while listening to the Wicked soundtrack ('natch), and decide you want to be popular.Use the app!: Check the "Popular Places" section, where spots that see a lot of trucks get a shout-out, just like guys who took time off corporate software development to make you an app that gets you fat at 2a.
