Supernatural Sandwiches

Not to be confused with the most popular activity at Santana-themed swingers conventions, Supernatural Sandwiches are the tucked-away creation of four 'wich aficionados with hyper-local leanings and the humble dream of making “sea-to-sandwich”... sandwiches. Currently showcasing their edible wares on Wednesdays and Sundays at the San Diego Public Market, the crew aims to dominate the world(!), plus other farmers markets around town with mythical creations like: The Nessie: This shinto-glazed local catch of the day (yellowtail, sea bass, etc.) features a seasonal citrus tarter sauce, and Asian-style “Jinx” relish (so don't order it at the same time as someone else, or you'll owe them a soda). The Neptune: Named for that God who liked to ride around naked in chariots towed by sea horses, the Neptune comes laced with a three-chili “Pyro aioli”, sweet local scallops, smoked bacon, and an avocado ponzu sauce. The Siren: Scuttle your hunger with garlic Mexican white shrimp, a garlic/herb aioli, marinated tomatoes, white cheddar, and 30k-to-50k-Scoville “Fiery Necromancer Sauce”, which really is to die for, assuming you can swing it.
