Stuffing an American staple... with French fries
Ah, the burger. Just hearing the name conjures up memories of summer BBQs, late-night trips to greasy spoons, and a poorly casted subplot during Seasons Four and Five of Sex and the City. Giving you a reason to conjure up the magic yet again, Greenburger's.
Just opened by a Sabres ballcap-wearing former exec chef for Perry's and his wife (whose specialty is "creative spark"), Greenburger's is a mint-y green, 49-seat ode to America's signature contribution to the world food lexicon, with tons of cool diner-esque vintage relics relics from the pair's past, like old sports gear they used growing up, black-and-white framed family photos from the 1930s, and a Marv Levy bobblehead, whose mouth says "You're dead wrong" but head says otherwise. YOU'RE THE RUMOR STARTER!!! "Burger" options inspired by the dude's Buffalo, NY upbringing include a classic totally customizable Five Dot Ranch signature patty (add cheese, sauteed mushrooms, and onions free of charge, plus Zoe's Petaluma bacon or avocado for some charge), a Memphis Style Pulled Pork Burger (American Homestead pork shoulder braised in housemade BBQ sauce and slaw on brioche), and a Fish 'N Chips burger with beer-battered Pacific Cod, fries, and dill tartar stuffed in a soft roll, also what it's called when Louie Anderson gets hot at the craps table. There's also a DIY burger bar built into a vintage Coca-Cola cooler box, with classic burger add-ables you add on your own, plus made-in-house pickles and mayo, which is awesome, assuming you don't mind vacating all wins while using it.
To help you wash it all down, they've got artisanal naturally sugared sodas like Virgil's, Fitz's, and Cheerwine, so feel free to get as much as you can Carrie.
