LL Cool J's lawyer probably wouldn't want you to call it a comeback, but Doin' It makes sense 'cause Cafe Pettirosso hasn't been here for... err, well, not years, but almost one year, during which the sisters behind Belltown's Bang Bang Cafe overhauled & expanded the no-longer-quaint Cap Hill drinkery. It now boasts a semi-unfinished look with concrete floors and a vintage-wood bar, as well as expanded cocktail and food menus.
The homestyle eats line-up boasts Shepard's Pie layered w/ seasonal veggies, taters & Painted Hill ground chuck, as well as grilled quail w/ radicchio & olives, and a Bolito Misto stew w/ beef brisket, chicken leg & sausage. On the cocktail side, there're classics (Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule), plus more inventive tipples like the the vodka- and Creme de Viollette-based Purple Rain, and the bourbon/lemon/homemade caramel Safe Word, likely not "SixMorePlease".
If your mom no longer makes you breakfast, fear not, as they've got plates like brioche French toast stuffed w/ winter squash & ricotta, and "little things" like housemade yogurt parfaits that'll only take a minute to eat, but'll give you at least 6 Minutes of Pleasure.
