Lewis Carroll's White Queen once told Alice she believed six impossible things before breakfast, one of which used to be that a Vietnamese street-foodery could turn out delicious AM eats repping both the US and SE Asia, right up until Ba Bar started doing it everyday. With a little help from a badass pastry chef who trained at Chicago’s French Pastry School, they're intent on making your body less of a Wonderland thanks to these morning belly fillers:
in Norway seriously believe trolls still live under bridges and in farmhouses and often will leave out bowls of food in an effort to please them will be delighted by eggs Benedict on brioche w/ shiitake mushroom, caramelized onion & hollandaise, and a 6oz Painted Hills Farm steak w/ two Wilcox Farms eggs & sweet pho onion.
Canadians unfettered by worries about heart attacks thanks to their nationalized healthcare can opt for a poutine that tops hand-cut fries w/ Beecher’s cheese curds, or non-Canuck-leaning weekend-only specials like a housemade tart and buttermilk pancakes.
Finally they're making it a good morning, Vietnam-style, by adding a supposedly hilarious Robin Williams! Or noodles & beef brisket served in broth, and mushroom congee -- a rice porridge you'll want to dive right into, either because those mushrooms made you three inches tall, or 'cause it comes w/ a soft-boiled Wilcox Farm egg & a housemade devil donut.
