Old meets new... meets BBQ

Like a confused radio station, Epic Smokehouse combines the best of the oldies with the newest stuff out there, pairing BBQ standbys with inventive meat creations, and employing rustic materials (grey barnwood, cracked leather) in a shotgun-narrow space that somehow feels sleekly modern

Short ribs get New Age-y with Asian radish and a wasabi cream sauce, and pork loin gets flipped with a Patron XO-based sauce, while traditionalists can still cop apple wine-glazed baby back ribs or a beer- & herb-roasted bird called the "Beer Belly Chicken", who would totally go out and burn that thing off if he wasn't so cooped up all day. The chicken shouldn't hog all the beer, so grab brews like Rogue Dead Guy Ale and Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout, or go cocktail with the the apricot iced tea/bourbon "Ice Pick", or a Bacon Old Fashioned, which Don Draper would drink if he wasn't enough of a pig already! Right, ladies?

They're also running a solid 430-630p happy hour with $8 burgers and $5 bar apps like crispy, corn-fried oysters tossed in a house buffalo sauce, and slow-roasted Hawaiian Kalua pig in a wonton wrapper, though now a wonton rapper. That'd actually be the most confused radio station ever.
