A Hand-Powered Blender for Backcountry Margaritas
Aside from bears, the major downside of camping is the lack of quality barware. Sure, you could dismantle chunks of ice with an icepick or Colebar, but wouldn't you want to bring an actual blender if you could? In a stroke of pure genius, GSI Outdoors created the Vortex, a hand-cranked blender that can and will crush your ice without electricity.
The Vortex comes with a clamp that secures to a table so you can get a full two-hand purchase on the handle if necessary without worrying about an accident. There's a two-gear system inside so you can shift up when you get up to speed. We weren't kidding about the manual part.
