Motorsport icon Brian Redman is the latest living legend to receive signature watch glory from our pals at Autodromo, who today announced the Brian Redman Edition Prototipo, commemorating his signature victory at the 1969 Nurburgring 1000km race.
The timepiece itself, which comes in either gold plate or stainless casing, has the same red and white design as the paint scheme of the Porsche Salzburg 908/02 Redman drove to victory in the race, an impressive touch that comes as close to putting his car on your wrist as humanly possible. The caseback includes a map of the race's course, along with the laurels of the champion.
Want to see this beast thrash the German countryside? This video should do the trick.
Along with the world-class watch, the Brian Redman edition comes in special edition packaging and a 42-page booklet signed by the man himself. The watch's run is limited to 500 numbered pieces, the first 100 of which are 24k gold while the rest are stainless steel. If you're looking to grab a piece of the legend, the 18k gold edition is $1200 here and the stainless steel edition is $775 here. Move quickly, because just like Redman's Porsche, they'll go fast.
Brett Williams is an editorial assistant at Supercompressor. His watch isn't as fast as this one.
