Giro and Philippe Starck Made A Hunger Games Bike Helmet

Giro has been at the forefront of every bike helmet development in the past few decades. They invented the foam helmet that replaced this ridiculous sausage-like number. They invented the aero road helmet. And now, they've partnered with legendary designer Philippe Starck to make a new concept for commuters, the Giro by S+ARCKBIKE.

Made with an aluminum shell that can be recycled when the helmet expires or suffers an impact, the concept features a cork liner sustainably harvested from Portugal. This collaboration accompanies Starck's collection of impressive-looking ebikes, and represents another kind of approach to getting around by bike—one that's less sweaty.

But I guess we already know that this is the future.
