The Hunter S. Thompson Ray-Bans
You can't be a writer in any capacity without, at least, respecting the work of the Hunter S. Thompson. The great Gonzo showed us a different view of the world: skeptical, seedy, dark, and in a constant smoky haze. To accurately replicate Thompson's style, one would need to be clad in a visor and short shorts with a cigarette in one hand and a bottle of ether in the other.
In order to minimize the amount of damage we could put on our body, we decided the best way to pay tribute to the late Mr. Duke would be to hunt down his sunglasses. Enter the: The Kalichrome Shooter Aviators from Ray-Ban. Sleek, stylish, tinted, perfect for shooting a gun while smoking a joint regular cigarette.
These shooter frames were quite literally made for shooting. They sit high up on the face and feature the Bausch & Lomb Kalichrome C Yellow lens that outdoorsmen and pilots swear by. A circular hole between the lenses is used to hold cigarettes, thus freeing up your hands for necessary hunting accessories like, oh, guns or flyswatters?
Of course, we all know Mr. Duke was a lover of heavy artillery and smoking—thus making these the perfect frames. They're pricey and rare, but that's why the Internet invented Etsy.
Just, uh...use with caution.
