Shinola's Made In The USA Watches Get The Sport Treatment

Breathing life back into America's most soulful city's manufacturing, Detroit's Shinola has quickly become master of both watch and bike. Becoming the first major watch brand since the 1960s to manufacture on US soil, Shinola kicks it back this fall with a sport version, called (surprise!) the Runwell Sport.

Available in both giant 48-millimeter and 42-millimeter cases, the Runwell Sport watch adds a rotating dive-watch bezel and doubles water resistance to 10 ATM. Check it out.

Besides the usual touches—US/Swiss quartz movement, SuperLuminova lume, screw-down crown—the Runwell Sport is available with a custom rubber strap made in Staples, Minnesota.

If you demand more timing capabilities from your watch, Shinola has you covered with the Runwell Sport Chrono, which brings in that stopwatch function, thanks to a few subdials on a stainless steel bracelet.

Now someone just needs to bring the Motown record label back to Detroit. It really should not be in L.A.
