Turn Any Tree Branch Into An Axe

Even though you didn't get a letter from Hogwarts, a random stick doesn't have to stay a random stick. New on Kickstarter, the Klax Multitool will turn any robust piece of wood into an axe, which is clearly the only wand you'll ever need.

Invented by the father/son team behind Klecker Knives, Klax is essentially a multi-tool built into an axehead that can easily attach and detach from an axe handle. To get the axehead to stay put, the Klecker team has invented an ingenious clamping system for three of the models that keeps things secure during tree-whacks. The fourth model uses a traditional lashing system updated from the classic leather to strong paracord.

The highest-end steel Klax available is the Lumberjack. In addition to the clamping system, it features a hammer head, a hex wrench set, a 1/4-inch bit drive socket, a lanyard hole, a carabiner, a ruler, and, big surprise...a bottle opener.

To accompany the axe heads, Klecker Knives is also selling axe handles specifically designed for the Klax. You know, in case you want to use something besides random wood to trip over.
