The LED flashlight and oil-filled compass (i.e. four-hour candle) make up the respective ends, and inside it's filled with critical gear and labeled by function—things like fishing tackle, emergency whistles, plus matches and tinder, a wire saw, trail markers, and water purifying tabs.
Need razor blades to cut your arm off when it's jammed between rocks? There's that too. Also a can opener, so you can take a break from sawing and enjoy a warm Molson Light.
Now if only I could remember those socks.
