Cask Strength

(adj.) Also known as barrel strength, cask strength is the ABV of a spirit straight from the barrel. Though most spirits are watered down to an ABV near 40%, both for cost and potability, spirits (usually whiskey) are sometimes bottled at cask strength closer to 60% ABV.
