There comes a time in every man's life when he either has to pass his toys to the next generation, or fill up a landfill with Earth-destroying plastic, though in Captain Planet's case, his lameness has made him his own worst enemy. Collect childish things while retaining dignity, with Evil Robot Designs.
The work of Brighton duo "Evil Ed" and "Dan Robotic" (if those even are their real names), ER stylishly upgrades childish playthings into young-heartedly adult furniture & lamps by enrobing them in a boldly coloured lacquer shell, so those ninja turtles can finally get that other half. Ready-to-purchase illuminators include Super Red (centerpieced by Marvel stalwarts like Spidey, Human Torch, etc.) and White Witch, starring a diverse lineup including DC's Scarecrow, Star Wars' Watto, and Mr. Incredible holding a London Bus above his head, which presumably requires all of his strength to not bend. Furniture gets more comic book-y with strips of Frank Miller's extremely graphic novel That Yellow Bastard adorning both Sinner's City (a reclaimed door-cum-table fitted w/ a clear Perspex drop-down magazine rack in the centre), as well as a thin, meter-high lamp/plant stand labeled "Beetlejuice" because of its snake-like monochrome stripes, and because it will drive your girlfriend Zagnuts.
The pair will also happily save your own toy chest from the scrapheap, turning its contents into a bespoke furnishing, boasting that no task is "too big or too crazy", though to pull it off, they'll certainly have to let their powers combine.
