The brainchild of a Mpls art director who's into cheap sunglasses, meteorology, and, apparently, turning lakes into commodities, Branding rights the wrong of lake logo ugliness by creating a fresh one for each of MN's bodies of water, because even the littlest lake deserves to feel Great. Cranking out one per day, designs (avail as prints, stretched canvas joints, and even iPhone cases) include:
Otto Lake: This logo captures the crystalline simplicity of this wee St. Louis County gem. And also some water. And its name.
White Elk Lake: Anyone wanting to put an actual lake to this logo will need to hit Aitkin County, so remote that the only racks on display will likely belong to the elk.
Bowstring Lake: A deft visual play on its name, this 9000-acre Deer River behemoth is known for walleye and crappie fishing, so apparently there aren't that many walleye.
Lake Andrusia: Connected to the Cass Lake chain by the Mighty Miss, Andrusia's logo claims the lake as "Minnesota's Own", though territorial Russians may soon be dis-Putin that fact.
