Building your own robot requires many things, from a knowledge of engineering and programming, to giving up your time-consuming habit of having sex with robots built by other, far more knowledgeable robotics dudes. Anyone who doesn't require their robot know-how to Dirty Sanchez (or move at all, for that matter), however, can build one at My Robot Nation.
From a posse of game-industry vets whose interests weirdly also include getting nerdy on robots, MRN's super-simple drag-and-drop 3D design tool can create Bender-esque mini robot figurines and "print" them from composite resin, a material often used in dental procedures, so at least it'll be comfortable should it become embroiled in the debate over the molarality of creating sentient beings. Here's what you'll do:
Design your robot's base look by picking from dozens of heads, torsos, legs, and arms.
Add as many "parts" as you like, including eyes, pipes & circuits, gears, and accessories, then use the tool to attach them at any angle anywhere on the figure, which the Jerky Boys will use to create an endless supply of "asshats".
Create a color scheme from their trio of palettes.
Stamp your lil' dude with decal-esque details from flames, to tattoos, to camo patt...dude, where did your mini robot figurine go!?!?
Align its extremities and torso into a final pose, then choose a height between two and six inches, a size that should be good enough for you considering it was good enough for even your most discriminating sex robot.
