Because people are more interesting when they look a little strange, this SoCal artist calls himself a “graphic designer”, but really turns on the awesome when creating eclectic mixed-media portraits of pop culture icons, though he's yet to tackle the "Zac Efron Desktop Folder". For standout work from his creative mind, scope:
Coffee and Cigarettes: Paying homage to Tom Waits' sweet acting skills, this number was worked up using only sadness and a weird, super-scratchy voice. Or, you know, coffee beans and cigarettes.
Hunter S. Thompson: This lit-up depiction of Richard Nixon's biggest fan was made entirely from clippings of magazine articles, which is wholly appropriate as those usually got people pretty heated.
Kurt Cobain: Loath to make it easy on himself, this rendition of Seattle's dirtiest saint uses only vertical lines to depict the With the Lights Out cover, along with added digital coloring -- buy it for a lady friend and maybe you'll get some Heart-Shaped...um, nevermind.
